The Iranian government is launching a new censorship campaign against the underground hip-hop community in the country, which has apparently become wildly popular on the internet. The genre, known as "Rap-e Fars" has its roots in the Iranian diaspora community in California, which has been turning out beats in Farsi since the 1990's. Here's the story from the BBC:
