If you’re willing to stomach an uninspired marketing campaign in exchange for free beer, check out Amstel Light’s promotion downtown Thursday night.

Visit your favorite pubs around Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market from 5:00–8:00 p.m. to experience the free-spirit of Amsterdam with “Dutch Treat” specials and a unique 10-person “Beer Bike.” Be on the lookout for Amstel Light bike riders giving away free Amstel Light-branded items.

Don’t worry if 8 o’clock rolls around and you aren’t soaked in free beer yet — Amstel has you covered with a second chance to “experience the progressive, magical spirit of Amsterdam.” From 8:00 p.m. till midnight, the Grand Canal will host “Amsterdam Light Lounge 1870,” a “modern pop-up bar infused with elements traditionally found in Dutch pubs during the late 1800′s.”  Traditional Dutch elements to include corporate sponsorship, piss beer and a rock band from Montreal.
