Adamg at Universal Hub brings word that a new pirate radio station, HOT 97 Boston, began broadcasting out of Hyde Park last month, and despite an early visit from the Federales, the underground signal is hanging tough on the dial for now.
The station caught the eye of FCC investigators when it went on-air over Memorial Day weekend because it's pushing out chunes precariously close to a drone signal for WAAF on 97.7 FM. Adam says both signals are coming in loud and clear in Roslindale, but we understand the obvious necessity of safeguarding "The Widest Range Of Rock On The ...

Just as the Internet has been a major contributor to print media's slow demise, the expanding availability of television shows online has also been freaking out major TV networks for some time. Regardless of how one happens to watch their favorite shows, however, one Brooklyn-based duo has come across a way to breathe new life into the otherwise straightforward medium.

Many Mansions
Human Beings first learned of rhythm in the womb. The musical project Many Mansions was not born in Jamaica Plain, but it grows there. It's been absorbing the rhythm from people attempting to re-discover vibrational harmony. The sound of people is the key. Abundance is the door. Rhythm is the roots of the tree of life. It is the pulse of the water. Many Mansions is tuned in to the atomic voice of color and light.
The band's catalog has grown long in a short amount of time: one, swarm of suns, dream music, holymountainlifeadventureclub, the dream is changing, and ...

Good day, Internet readers. You're tuned in to blogging from the Whitehaus Family Record. Jim of ThatHottness.com has kindly offered us a platform to promote Blastfest -- our upcoming spring showcase.
Over the next few days, you will read about poets and musicians who count themselves among Boston's emerging "Yes Wave" folk movement. These artists inhabit a variety of sounds, visuals, and messages, but are united by the fact that they connect themselves in some way with the amorphous cloud called the Whitehaus Family.
It is our hope that this series will introduce the reader to some exciting new ...
