It’s rare that a Boston crime story shocks the moral conscience, but this is an exception to the rule.

On Sunday, June 1, an Allston woman reportedly lured a man back to her apartment on Glenville Ave where police say a gang of accomplices was waiting. They tied the man to a chair, beat him savagely, demanded $5,000, and then lit the apartment on fire and left him to die. Sounds like some beef:

“Farrah Girault, 29, of Roxbury, Cheerley Chevalier, 30, of Taunton and Jillian Jacques, 23, of Allston allegedly bound the man to a chair with a hairdryer cord and along with several other suspects viciously beat him until he bled from the eyes and vomited blood in Jacques’ apartment at 118 Glenville Ave., police say.” The Boston Herald via Bostonist
