Eight local graphic artists will go head-to-head tonight at Church in a timed competition to test their creative powers.  The UFO Design Jam, which kicks off at 7:30, will pit contestants against each other in 10-minute rounds where they will use laptops to complete several design challenges.  The winner of the contest will walk away with $500, 5 cases of beer and a chance to design an ad campaign for UFO Hefeweizen.

Judging the event will be Tak Toyoshima, art director for the Weekly Dig; Adam Bailey, creative director of UFO/Harpoon; Claudia De Piante, lead graphic design mentor for Artists For Humanity; and Julian Wadsworth, producer of Karmaloop.com. The afterparty, featuring live sets from Oxy Cottontail and DJ Frank White, will start at 9:30 and run till 1:00.
